STAMPING FEE REDUCTION
Effective July 1, 2006, the Surplus Line Association of
Illinois stamping fee rate will be reduced to 0.1% of the premium.
The effective date of the policy determines the applicable rate for the
policy and any endorsements to that policy.
For example, with a policy that is effective 1-Jul-06, you should use the new rate of 0.1% for the
policy and for any subsequent endorsements to that policy. With a policy that is effective 1-May-06, you
will use the 0.3% stamping fee rate for the policy and for any subsequent endorsements to that policy –
regardless of the effective date of the endorsement.
