Independent Procurement Reporting Policies & Endorsements
Effective January 1, 2015, Sec. 121-2.08 of the Illinois Insurance Code was modified. Now, insureds who qualify to independently procure insurance directly from an unauthorized insurer must report those transactions and pay associated taxes and filing fees. The reporting is done online through the ipFile system, hosted by the Surplus Line Association of Illinois. Like our other online surplus line transaction reporting system, the reporting site is intuitive and easy to use.
